Our ultimate purpose in this life is to be like Jesus Christ. If you stay focused on doing this than what a fruitful life you will have.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28, 29 KJV)

God is so good. I was just thinking on how much God has blessed us. Their were times that we didn't know where we would live, didn't have a working vehicle, it almost seem like we would never have kids, but God provides and blesses. Now we have an amazing home, 3 working vehicles, and the most precious daughter! Thank you God for everything!!!! We are living proof that God makes a way, so please don't give up hope if things seem impossible, God can and will make away for His children!
I just feel like I should be very honest about something right now. Curtis & I have been together almost 13 years now, it was just the two of us for so long that honestly even though I knew God put the desire in my heart to have children it freaked me out. We have such an amazing relationship. It's funny how most people at first almost don't believe we have been together for so long because of the way we are together. They think we are in the 'newly wed' stage still. All we are is real. We are who we are there is no faking it. We love each other no matter what. Does that mean we agree on everything, that would be a big fat NO. But that's ok we wouldn't be individuals if we did.
I am not trying to brag here I am trying to make a point. Because we are so good together and it's had been so long of just the two of us, the enemy really tried to use that against me to cause me to have fear while I was pregnant. I worried about what it would do to our relationship having a child. Would we no longer be us? There were times that I was so weak about it and just stressed from the pregnancy that I feared we made the wrong choice, of course it was to late then. I took my strength from the Lord knowing that it would work out though He wouldn't put something on us that we couldn't overcome with Him. Now I look back and laugh at how dramatic I got at times and how foolish I was to let the fear take over like I did. We are stronger and closer than ever I feel. Our love, God's love flows through us to this precious miracle child that I couldn't imagine not having now. Seeing Curtis with Abby gives me such amazing joy there are just not words to really explain it. Wondering why I bring this up now? Pastor Shawn was listening to something yesterday and he wanted me to hear a certain part of it but the dvd made him go further back then he wanted to so we had to listen to more than just the one part he planned. I believe that it worked like that because of God. There was a part on the DVD that I feel I needed to hear and then share this. It talked about a couple that didn't want kids cause they couldn't imagine having to share their love with someone else as if it would be limited, or not enough for another. But that isn't how God designed love, love isn't limited, it's abounding, never ending, it can not fail, there is more than enough love for everyone and then some. I encourage anyone that reads this that don't let fear rule your life, because if you do you will miss out on the amazing and very GOOD plans God has for you. Just trust Him, His love for us is more than we can fathom. God is so good. Abby was so worth the 6 year wait and everything we went through. My advice to anyone that is waiting for an answered prayer, keep the faith no matter what the circumstances are. God's plan for your life is good. If bad things are happening its the devil trying to steal, kill, and destroy what is good. Resist the devil and he must flee from you.
From the beginning, man has made excuses, and blamed others for their wrongs shown in Genesis 3:12 "The man replied,'It was the woman, you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.' " He was standing right next to her when the whole thing went down, clearly stated in Genesis 3:6 "Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her and he ate it, too." He could have told her not to do it and/or he could have refused to eat it, but no he just stood there and then ate it. He was as fault just as much as she was. The same type of situations still occur to this day. People blaming other for things they knew were wrong and still did them and people standing around watching others do wrong and not saying or doing anything about it. Isn't it time we own up and just admit when we do wrong? Or better yet not do wrong in the first place when we directly know we shouldn't? Or even step in and try to at least talk someone not to do wrong if we can or even stop them? Not taking responsibility for our actions or even lack of actions is a huge part of why the earth and human race is in the predicament it is now.
This picture of my daddy was taken our 1st Thanksgiving in the house God blessed us with, in 2010. This Thanksgiving is just not going to be the same. Please everyone remember to treasure the time you have with family and friends because tomorrow isn't promised. Some people are lucky enough to know when a loved when is dying and say their goodbyes but not everyone does. Life is to short for hatred which is why the bible says to love. God loves us in spite of us we should follow His example with others. God bless you all <3
As John 17:13 say Eternal life is not about an amount of time but a personal intimate relationship with God & Christ Jesus.
Eternal life starts once you accept Jesus into your life and are born again. John 10:10 states that Jesus cares about the quality of life you have by saying, " I come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" Abundant life would be the opposite of what Jesus said the thief came to do which is to steal, kill and destroy. Are you living an abundant eternal life? This is probably going to step on some toes but it's my freedom to say what I feel lead to say. If you don't like it well guess what you have the freedom to feel that way.
Why is it when a Christian states they don't believe in same sex marriage they are haters, bigots and close-minded? Yet people for same sex marriage are just open minded. Lets define some words: Hate: to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward. Bigotry: stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own. Open-minded: having or showing a mind receptive to new ideas or arguments. Close-minded: not ready to receive to new ideas Well after looking at those definitions shouldn't then the people that want to boycott places that don't agree with same sex marriage be considered as haters, bigots and close-minded too. This is just one example. It's like it's okay to have an opinion or belief as long as it is the "right" one. Just because your beliefs are one thing or another doesn't make you close minded, it just means that you agree with one thing over the other. I will not deny there are extremists on both sides, however the problem is that people just focus in on those extremists and not at the whole picture. I will be the first to admit a lot of Christian don't act like Christ. There are so many that have been lead astray by what men have told them in twisting the Word of God. That is why it is so important that people read the Word themselves and get a revelation about what they are reading from the Holy Spirit. I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. That was how we were designed which is quite obvious by the fact that is how we reproduce. I'm sorry try as you might 2 men together or 2 women together can not naturally produce a child. Does that mean that I "feel extreme aversion toward" or have "complete intolerance" to same sex couples. No I have known and been friends with them. I loved them for who they were not what they did. You can love someone without agreeing with what they do. By the way I felt this way before I became a Christian. Love is one of the most important actions in life. Yes I said action because just saying you love someone is meaningless unless you back it up with actions. God said He loved us but he proved it by sending His only son to be tortured and killed for us. That's right He didn't just die for us he was beaten, tortured, and then finally crucified, all because He truly loved us and didnt want us to suffer. How many of you can say that you would go through all that to show your love for someone close to you? How about a stranger? A stranger is what you are if you haven't accepted Jesus as your personal savor, because you don't have a relationship with Him. You know what though He still loves you and desires that you get to know Him. That way you can experience His love for you and He can do more things for you to show His love, that way you will share His love to others. So what actions have you done today to show your love to someone and to spread the love of Christ?
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:31, 32 NLT)
If people would just do what this scripture says by building and encouraging others instead of tearing them apart, imagine how much pain and suffering would cease to exist. The world would be such a better place. Even if you don't agree with a persons choices, show them love and kindness anyways. There are ways to tell people that you don't agree what they are doing is good for them without being harsh and cruel. Being harsh and cruel just drives them further away. Deep down everyone just wants to be loved even if they won't admit it. God loves you no matter what, accept that love, so you can love yourself, which will enable you to love others. |
